The first steps of a project aimed at transforming the image of the City of Morón, yields the first results with the restoration of a group of buildings, which give a touch of beauty to this town that on May 24 reaches the 481st anniversary of the grant of the Morón herd.

Although the project is comprehensive and is undertaken amidst economic limitations, results are already being seen.

The rehabilitation of the emblematic San Carlos Theater, with new tones; repair and maintenance actions at the Caonabo Museum, worthy of the Conservation Award, are some of the actions.

The entrance to the Morón Necropolis, repair and painting of several Educational Institutions, including the Roberto Rodríguez Secondary School, the Pioneers Palace and the new headquarters of the General Directorate of Education are also facilities that have undergone considerable constructive and aesthetic improvements.

The program includes the general repair of the Railway Terminal, a task that is set among the strategies of the Ministry of Transportation, and the complete remodeling of the Pío Leiva Recreational Cultural Plaza, projections that will contribute to returning the City to its original beauty.
