The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, visited the Avila municipality of Morón this Thursday afternoon, where he verified the situation of important socioeconomic objectives of the territory and finally held a pleasant exchange with the population.
In the company of Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau of the Party and Julio Gómez Casanova, First Secretary of the Party in Ciego de Avila, after visiting the Turiguanó Livestock Company, the Principitos de Celia Children’s House and the Morón Nursery Center, Díaz- Canel held an exchange at the Party headquarters in this town with the main leaders of the territory.
In direct contact with the population, located in front of the sculpture complex erected in memory of Captain Roberto Rodríguez “El Vaquerito”, in the city of Morón, the Cuban President explained that the visit had the objective of detecting the difficulties and insufficiencies to solve issues.
He gave as an example the Morón Breeding Center, created at the initiative of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, where it is necessary to promote the larvae planting plan in the recently started campaign, which constitutes an important source of food for the people.
He explained that on the tour of the municipality he visited the Photovoltaic park that is being executed in Morón and that will contribute four Megawatts to the National Energy System, together with other projects that will provide a delivery of about 80 Megawatts.
“These are hard times, but there is talent and capacity to develop ourselves,” reiterated the Cuban President in the exchange with the population who excitedly applauded his visit to Morón.
