Works of social, health and cultural benefit were inaugurated in the Avilanian municipality of Morón in greeting to the 97th anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
Liván Izquierdo Alonso, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the province, the lieutenant governor, Hiorvanys Espinosa Pérez, and other political and governmental authorities verified the completion of facilities that will provide important services to the population.
An old wish of the workers of the family medical office (CMF) number nine in Morón, came true with the capital repair of the property, which included, among other things, the consultations, doctors’ rooms, dining room, bathrooms and hydraulic networks.
Izquierdo Alonso praised the quality of the completion of the construction work and urged workers and residents of the community to take care of this Public Health center, in which various medical services are extended.
At the primary health care facility, some 860 patients are cared for, including one pregnant woman and eight infants, in addition special emphasis is given to the treatment of chronic non-communicable diseases such as arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus.
Later, the cultural field had its space, with the reopening of the Hugo Cortijo art gallery, in which ceilings, walls, bathrooms and plumbing networks were affected, Juan Ildo Rodríguez Martínez told the Cuban News Agency (ACN), director of that institution.
The Morón visual arts center opened its doors to visitors with an exhibition of crafts by amateur artists and another of photographs of the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution, as a reflection of his participation in various aspects of the socioeconomic life of the country in the construction of socialism.
After a high state of deterioration, the headquarters of the Morón concert band resumed its vitality with very good conditions to rehearse and develop other cultural promotion actions, said Pedro Antonio Pardo Barbosa, director of the musical group.
