A new system for the sale of agricultural products is applied in Agromercados in the Ciego de Avila city of Morón, which, supplied by a group of entities from the province, make possible a notable decrease in prices.
The experience was initially launched only in selected Agromercados, with varied offers at reasonable prices, by presenting the supply booklet, with frequencies on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Among the entities in charge of supplying these Agromercados are Azcuba, the Arnaldo Ramírez Company, and Cubatabaco.
These companies provide products such as donkey plantain, cassava, pumpkin, bomba fruit, melon, sweet potato and cheese, with prices that fluctuate between 4.00 and 25.00 pesos per pound, except for cheese, which is 170 pesos per pound.
