The educational centers of the Avilanian municipality of Morón have created all the food security conditions for the start of the new school year in September of this year.
Food sovereignty is also a priority in these entities, which following the lines of the study-work principle, link students to the different productive activities in the orchards since the Ministry of Education is responsible for strengthening educational actions for the curricular Food education with an agroecological approach.
Nivaldo Ruíz García, Head of the budgeted unit for insurance and support for education in the territory, explained that gardens are already being created in schools as a result of the Food Sovereignty Law, and the best example of this is the Camilo school.
