Specialties such as Gynecology and Obstetrics, Neonatology, Child Intensive Care and Family Medicine, among others, worked in a chained and efficient manner to achieve these results.

The Roberto Rodríguez general teaching hospital is the largest health center in the Avilanian territory, in its physical construction, and develops many actions to optimize its services and raise the scientific qualification of its professionals.

The hospital institution mainly cares for the population of the northern zone of the province of Ciego de Ávila.
