As part of the activities for Librarian’s Day, a positive exchange was held in Morón with the participation of all the personnel who serve this front in the territory, mainly in Educational Institutions.

In the activity, Ms. Iraida Echemendía Gómez, with an extensive professional career, is currently retired and reinstated at the William Soler Semi-boarding School, in Turiguanó. She explained her experiences as a librarian starting in 1976 when she began studies at the Camagüey Pedagogical School.

Iraida also has a degree in Spanish and Literature and has worked in various schools in the province, including nearly 30 years as a Formatur teacher.

Rule stated that María Félix Dumont, Methodologist of School Libraries in Morón, expressed that in this territory 42 librarians provide services in Educational Institutions, which contribute to developing reading skills and a taste for reading.

She added that Morón has achieved results in different contests such as Know more, who reads more; Prize for the best teacher promoter of readings and Read Martí.
