The delivery of recognitions to educators for their outstanding career in this sector, such as the distinction for Cuban Education and the Rafael María de Mendive medal, constituted the center of the End of School Year 2022-2023 Ceremony in the municipality of Morón, where the importance of National Rebellion Day was evoked.
The important recognition granted by the Council of State was earned on this occasion by eight outstanding educators, including Yakelín Negrín, from the Computer Science area, Iris del Sol from the Raúl Gómez Special School, Leticia Domínguez Llanes, from the Center for Documentation and Professional Information, and Adriana Perdono from the Tiernos Capullos Children’s Circle.
Also recognized with this medal were Yandy Pineda, from the Roberto Zamora Special School; Félix Rolando Cortés, from the Alberto Delgado Seminary Boarding School; Yudith Bello Ávila, from the Ignacio Agramonte Semi-boarding School and Odalis Espinosa Castillo from the Patria Children’s House.
As the most integral groups for education, the Circulo Flor del Festival were distinguished; the Ignacio Agramonte School, the Roberto Rodríguez and Benito Juárez High Schools, the Roberto Rodríguez Pre-University and the Félix Varela Polytechnic.
At the ceremony, the Rafael María de Mendive medal was awarded to the professor and researcher Yamila Tomasa Ferràs, from the Félix Varela Polytechnic Center.
With emotional words, Yoleisy Valdés Santiago, municipal director, recognized the individual efforts and the different groups that allowed them to overcome difficulties and finish the course successfully.
