The recovery and propagation of ornamental and fruit plants has become another of the actions of the Parque Humedal Grande local development project, in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, which has a direct impact on saving financial resources, as well as promoting the gardening and food sovereignty in the project areas and the community.
The engineer Yuney Cruz Antigua, main manager of this project, explained that this included the creation of a nursery that is already taxed, even, on the commercialization of ornamental and fruit varieties, which makes it another of the economic activities of the Business Unit of Core directing.
Cruz Antigua specified that the cultivation and propagation of species highly valued by the population such as cacti, succulents and orchids is also encouraged, both for their future commercialization and to beautify the natural areas of the park, and work is being done on a plan of food sufficiency that already generates food for the workers.
These are actions that contribute to the protection of the environment and the improvement of public decoration in one of the most disadvantaged communities in the municipality of Morón, and that generate new goods and economic resources in favor, not only of the project workers, but also also of the entire community where it is located.
