During a tour of the province of Ciego de Ávila, the General Secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women, FMC, Teresa Amarelle Boué, held a meeting with grassroots leaders of the women’s organization in Morón, and representatives of various local organizations, with whom she discussed issues such as the Program for the Advancement of Women (PAM).
Also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party, she stressed the importance of sustainable social development and economic empowerment, access to decision-making and was interested in the operation of the FMC structures in the territory.
The leader was also accompanied by Benito Martínez Ausina, first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Party and leaders of other organizations, and she was received at the headquarters of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power.
Teresa Amarelle Boué, also a member of the Council of State, during her journey through the Avilanian territory called for the true transformation of the community and the leadership of the new generations.
