Children’s houses constitute a new modality in early childhood education to meet the needs of working mothers and families who do not have access to daycare centers.

In the Avilanian province, the Morón municipality is a vanguard in this initiative and to this date it has the first two facilities of this type, located in the towns of Patria and Turiguanó.

María de los Ángeles Díaz Hernández, an early childhood methodologist in the territory, said that the children’s houses arose with the objective of expanding the capacities of working mothers in Education, Health and people from the community as social cases.

¨Luces de mi Patria is the name of the one located in the Patria Popular Council, inaugurated on December 22, 2022 and the other in the Turiguanó Popular Council with an enrollment of 12 children, in this case, those of the workers of the Livestock Company¨, said Díaz Hernández.

The children’s houses are an achievement within the community in which they are located. If all the factors and formal and informal leaders supported this initiative, the results in the different processes would undoubtedly be higher.
