With an enrollment that exceeds 1,300 students, between continuing and new admissions, in the different health specialties, the 2022-2023 school year successfully began at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in the city of Morón in Ciego de Avila.
The Doctor of Sciences Odalys Rivero Canto, dean of the Faculty, reported that the number of new admissions is close to 400 students in the modalities of higher level, daytime and by meeting, higher technician, average technician from ninth and twelve grades, as well as basic technician who come from disassociated from the study with approved secondary education.
Among the specialties that are taught in the higher teaching center, medicine, dentistry, and nursing stand out in all pedagogical models, while in technologies such as careers there are those of health information system, clinical bioanalysis superior technician and transfusion medicine, pointed out the dean.
Likewise, we have about thirty foreign students who are in the sixth and last year of the medical specialty, where one comes from the Latin American School of Medicine, ELAM, and the rest from the People’s Republic of the Congo, the DrC added. Rivero Canto.
