Natural and traditional medicine has become an important alternative, in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, to alleviate the deficit of drugs and to combat acute respiratory infections, among other ailments.

An outstanding contribution to the production of these medicines is the farm of Félix Aragón Rodríguez, belonging to the Empresa Cítricos Ceballos, who, along with five other workers, have been dedicated to the production of medicinal plants for 15 years.

Our farm supplies raw materials to the Local Production Center of natural and traditional medicine, including oregano, linden, aloe, majagua flower to make syrups such as Imefasma, and others in great demand by the population, he added.

We grow a total of 19 medicinal plants, and every week we deliver to the laboratory the resources they request, with which we always comply and which can be up to 170 kilograms of aloe per month, for example, he explained.
