The Rensol Renewable Energy Company, located in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, is the only one of its kind in Cuba and the Caribbean, where one of its UEB is in charge of manufacturing solar heaters, a production that has not been carried out for two years due to to the deficit of raw materials, a result of the situation that the country is going through.
Reinaldo Concepción La Rosa, a worker at the entity, states that during this time they have dedicated themselves to the maintenance and repair of the systems already installed in prioritized entities both in the territory and in the province, work with which the UEB continues to subsist.
Productions are the root of the company’s performance, the last plan was for 7,100 solar heaters for the population through Copextel.
Today we are waiting, the contract has already been signed with the International Association with Panama and China, where we have the machinery and the workforce, while they provide us with the raw materials, which we lack, he explained.
We think that by the second quarter of the year the factory will already be working on the new line given the national and international need for new solar heaters to be manufactured, argued Concepción La Rosa.
