Strength, will, dedication and commitments were ingredients that prevailed in the Seventh Ordinary Session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in Morón, the last of this year, which was attended by Liván Izquierdo Alonso, member of the Committee. Central and First Secretary in the province and Alfred Menéndez, Governor in Ciego de Ávila.
The Agenda approved by the 72 delegates that make up the Assembly, covered the evaluation of the report presented by four Permanent Work Commissions, among them, that of attention to Economic problems and Construction Programs and Progress of the Territorial Planning Program.
In this work session, chaired by Celia María López Reyes, in her capacity as President of the Assembly, the delegates assessed the functioning of the Commission that addresses Health, Education, Culture and Sports, especially the attention given to them. to the patients of the Grandparents’ Home, Home for the Elderly and Psychopedagogical Center.
In each of the points addressed by the Assembly, a critical spirit prevailed, with interventions aimed at solving the problems and the search for solutions with local alternatives.
Also present at this Ordinary Session were Benito Martínez Ausina, top political leader in Morón, Yorqui Navarro, Mayor, as well as representatives of political and mass organizations in the territory.
