The Caonabo Museum of the Avilanian municipality of Morón, celebrated its 42nd anniversary with a beautiful cultural gala, in an environment of healthy recreation to delight those present.
The cultural center presented the Caonabo distinction for life’s work to personalities recognized in Morón for their contribution to the development of culture.
The winners were Idolina Antonia Safonst García, current director of the Haydée Santamaría Cuadrado House of Culture, and the group La
Family.
Of the nominees for the Caonabo Distinction for the work of the year, another of the awards granted by the museum, among which were Anaphylaxis, Project Looking to the Future, Juan Alberto Iglesias and the Yambambó Sociocultural Project, the defenders of the traditions, the Fanm Zetwal warriors.
The institution recognized the work of three empowered women who are part of its facilities: Isabel Besada, Emma Banda Duanes and Mislady García Ortega.
The night witnessed excellent artistic presentations by renowned musicians from the territory such as the groups La Familia and Finaly, the wonder women of Yambambó and the voices of Lucy Safonst and Alisney Torres.
And to close on a high note, there was no shortage of Morón torticas accompanied by Canchanchara.
