The application of agroecological techniques encourages food production in the Avilanian municipality of Morón in the face of the scarcity of traditional inputs, through its implementation in a growing number of productive bases including several peasant farms.
The use of compost and worm castings stands out, as well as biocontrollers produced in the Entomophagous and Entomopathogen Centers of the territory.
In the Morón territory, they encourage multiple alternatives such as crop remains, living fences and the use of animal traction.
Agroecological techniques are a priority for the cooperative and peasant movement due to the shortage of fertilizers and pesticides, together with the need to produce healthier food.
