On the Island of Turiguanó, belonging to the municipality of Morón, the local development project (PDL) Playa Félix: the Balcón de la Isla, adds attractions to one of the spas most frequented by the population in the province of Ciego de Ávila.
The work in this coastal area of northern Ciego de Avila is aimed at creating a space that combines the enjoyment of natural values and access to varied gastronomic offers.
Through alliances with the medium-sized company Carnes D’Tres, dedicated to the production and marketing of pork, it is possible to access financing of eight million pesos to establish the infrastructure that will ensure better conditions in the place.
Nicolás Rodríguez Alarcón, executor of the aforementioned PDL, specified that, at first, they focus on the construction of sun loungers, baskets, the lifeguard space, a ranch for gastronomic activities, public bathrooms, changing rooms and the socio-administrative area. .
They will progressively undertake other works such as parking, the walkway over the beach, a playground and a barbecue, the latter with its supplies, which will be in charge of the medium-sized company, so that they will have varieties of meat products (fresh and processed) and beers, he added.
He has other initiatives in mind, but prefers not to advance them. He only stated that before next summer the conditions in Playa Félix will be different.
The local population, who does not stop visiting the area, sees the changes and appreciates that, despite the constructive movements, alternatives are being sought for the sale of light foods and drinks, at affordable prices, which allow visitors to fully enjoy the area. the Island of Turiguanó and other places in the municipality, the province and the country.
In the coming months the ranchón will begin to provide services, so facilities will be created to offer lunches and dinners, he said.
The space, in its entirety, is designed for a maximum of 800 people, and the purpose is for it to remain open all year round and during long hours, with varieties of gastronomic and recreational options. The staff, distributed in three work shifts, aims to offer quality care.
They plan to carry out nocturnal recreational activities on weekends, including beach parties with the spectacle of foam and the presence of national and local artists, proposals that will be well received, mainly by young people, commented Rodríguez Alarcón.
