The cold season began in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, and despite scarce resources, agricultural workers in the territory do everything possible so that the people obtain the essential foods of this season.
Juan José Guerra Rivero, delegate of Agriculture in the territory, said that they are working hard in the field together with the producers and that there is a total commitment to the peasantry and support for the planting that the territory needs today to achieve food sovereignty. .
“Today the planting is aimed mainly at the cultivation of banana, cassava and sweet potato, which are rustic and we have specialists, cadres, workers and companies working with agriculture distributed to identify the productive lands as well as the difficulties that arise. present,” he said.
“At this time we have an assigned budget of 770,000 pesos for the campaign, soil improvement, and the manufacture of biological fertilizers such as worm castings,” he said.
“We are developing a campaign with a lack of inputs and resources, but with a lot of willingness and will in order to produce the food that the people deserve,” Guerra Rivero explained.
