The municipal act for the day of the voluntary blood donor took place in the Ciego de Avila city of Morón, with the presence of a representation of the most prominent donors in the territory, as well as Public Health authorities, the CDR, the CTC, the government and the CCP.
At the meeting, Dr. Yudelvis Pérez Falcón, deputy director of the Provincial Blood Bank, gave a donation promotion workshop, through which the usefulness and relevance of this deeply altruistic and necessary act was made known, and it was agreed to extend that knowledge to other donors, public health workers and the people in general.
They received recognition as voluntary donors, 12 men and women with a consistent attitude in compliance with the program, while the municipality of Chambas was distinguished with third place in the province of Ciego de Avila for compliance with the donation plan, while the Moronero territory received a mention.
In the central words of the meeting, Benito Martínez Ausina, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Morón, highlighted the importance of a program that contributes to saving numerous human lives and demanded greater support from political and mass organizations that also they must make their own a task that is currently being led by the CDRs and the health sector.
With this act, a day was opened in the territory that will last until June 14, when the International Day of the Voluntary Blood Donor will be celebrated throughout the planet, and during which various initiatives will be carried out to honor all those who selflessly offer part of themselves in favor of life.
