Faced with the call made by the Minister of Education, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, in a recent visit to Ciego de Ávila, the teaching staff of the municipality of Morón, these days demonstrate the commitment to raise the professional level towards scientific categories that allow them to face with greater successes the educational teaching process, especially those who teach classes at the pre-university level and in Technical Professional Teaching.
The Education Directorate Council in the territory, decided to increase the number of teachers with the degree of Bachelor of Education, as well as the number with a master’s degree, at the same time that the call for the doctorate was made, to those with conditions to reach that important scientific degree.
When evaluating the behavior of this aspect, it was highlighted that the municipality has 990 licensed teachers, while another 321 hold the master’s degree category, results that, although favorable, can be increased taking into account the young potential available to the sector and the high disposition of professional improvement.
José Ángel Sierra, Head of the pre-university educational level, stated that all the teachers who teach twelfth grade students in the two Pre-university Institutes of the town, are graduates of higher studies, which guarantees the quality of their work.
