The Delavida Local Development Project, in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, shows strengths in the incorporation of women into the production of artisanal cosmetology, which contributes to the social and economic empowerment of women.

The economic actor has a staff of 32 workers, of which more than 53 percent are women, mostly young people, directly linked to the manufacturing and marketing of the 38 assortments they produce, including soaps, creams, balms, ointments and oils. body, intended for health and beauty.

The group stands out for contributing to meeting the needs of products for personal and home hygiene, not only in the territory but in seven other Cuban provinces, such as Camagüey, Sancti Spíritus, Villa Clara, Havana, Pinar del Río, Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba .

They make the products manually from vegetable and coconut oils, animal fats, goat milk, infusions, dehydrated medicinal plants, such as aloe vera, chamomile, calendula, moringa, Jamaica flower, rosemary and others; fruits and their seeds, honey and its derivatives.

Accredited by the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, they also arrive through donations to different health centers in the province of Avila, for their dermatological properties.
