Directors and administrators of the 42 schools in the municipality of Morón, Avila, spoke out to take advantage of every bit of land available for planting food products, such as root vegetables, vegetables and condiments, in order to achieve self-sufficiency.

At the meeting, headed by Ana María Pardo, Deputy Director General and Fernando Castillo, School Feeding Methodologist, the work achieved on this front by the Camilo Cienfuegos centers of Patria was highlighted; the Raúl Gómez Special School and the Paquito González Semi-boarding School in this city.

The exchange focused on the use of the most feasible variants for planting, whether in beds, furrows or other modalities.

To win this battle, some centers that do not have areas, however, intersperse condiments in the gardens, were given as examples. Measures were also pointed out to increase the cultivation of fruit trees.
