“No country in the world has the right to subjugate another.” This was stated yesterday, in a morning press conference, by the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, when he once again criticized the United States economic blockade against Cuba, as the fundamental cause of the situation that the island is going through, and as a stimulus for the migration of its nationals through irregular and dangerous routes that include transit through that country.

He expressed that this policy not only goes beyond international law, it is also a violation of human rights, a way for the people not to have the basic elements to live, and an internal war is unleashed that causes the dismissal of the Government, giving rise to gap so that another nation can dominate the country.

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, thanked in X the invariable and vertical position of his counterpart: «Few in the world understand the objective and impact of the genocidal blockade against Cuba, like Andrés Manuel López Obrador”, and considered that his “management in favor of all the peoples of Our America is only comparable to his impressive work of transforming Mexico.”
