The evaluation of biodiversity and its recovery in the Jardines del Rey archipelago after Hurricane Irma passed through that territory already shows its first results at the Coastal Ecosystem Research Center, a scientific institution located north of Cayo Coco.
Created in 1992 with the purpose of increasing the quality of life of the population of the region of Avila, through increases in the consumption of animal protein generated from sustainable practices, several are the results that support the work of the Bioaliments Research Center , CIBA.
The Project Rehabilitation of Dunes in the coastal zone belonging to the Great Wetland of the North of the municipality of Moron, includes strategies that are put into practice in the tourist destination Jardines del Rey, as part of the Life Task of the Cuban State to face climate change .
The Bioaliments Research Center, of the Avilanian municipality of Morón, is going through a phase of work corresponding to this 2019 with the aim of renewed objectives, some of which respond to programs of national scope.
