Receive Jardines del Rey high tourist season with new rooms

In more than 400 rooms, the commercialization of the Jardines del Rey tourist destination, north of the Avignon municipality of Morón, will grow during the current winter season, called high tourism in Cuba.

Iyolexis Correa, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism in the Avilanian territory, informed the press that in December two hotels owned by the Gaviota group will start operating in Guillermo, which will offer new options to visitors who choose the destination.

Currently the province has 23 facilities and more than nine thousand 300 rooms, most of them located on the islets, where the natural attraction for the conservation of the environment, the qualities of its beaches and excellent conditions for the development of diving and Other nautical activities.

Correa stressed that Canada remains the main issuing market for tourists to the enclave, followed by Poland and Russia, the latter with a growth of six percent in relation to the previous stage.

He also highlighted the presence of national vacationers, who grow 21 percent so far this year, so special offers are made for this segment of the market.

Special prominence, he said, has the Jardines del Rey International Airport, where 80 percent of the tourists staying in the cabin arrive today.

The aforementioned air terminal will receive 55 weekly flights at peak times of the season to also guarantee, for the first time, visitors who will be staying at the facilities of Cayo Cruz, belonging to Camaguey.

In view of the season started on November 1, renovation actions were carried out to improve the image and signage of the facilities, walkways and sunsets were repaired, as well as the swimming pools were cleaned and reconditioned, among others.

Yinet González, commercial of the Palmares branch in Ciego de Ávila, said that all the facilities redesigned their offers to guarantee quality extra-hotel options, both at the roadside parades and beach ranchones, dolphinarium and restaurants.
