Implement sustainable practices in Morón

Created in 1992 with the purpose of increasing the quality of life of the population of the region of Avila, through increases in the consumption of animal protein generated from sustainable practices, several are the results that support the work of the Bioaliments Research Center , CIBA.

Located in the city of Morón, the scientific center directs its work in achieving also an improvement and integral environmental development in the territory of Ciego de Ávila, in areas such as animal production, in which it dedicates its efforts to the development of alternative production systems animal with a high degree of sustainability.

It also works in areas related to the environment, where recycling, treatment of liquid and solid waste, and obtaining renewable energy are among the priorities in the field of research development.

Among its main achievements are products such as the environmental management system in the business sector, authored by Vania Vidal Olivera, and anaerobic digestion for environmental decontamination and production of biogas as a source of energy, created by Levis Valdés González, both introduced in practice with praiseworthy results.
